About the founder

Music Lawyers International (MUSLAW) is the brainchild of veteren music attorney William Dunbar Murray whose career spans over 40 years. A former NARAS SF governor, he has represented a  number of clients over the years from the budding songwriter to superstar Zendaya whom he met when she was 7 and began to represent when she was 12 throughout much of her time at Disney.

He has been and to some extent still is a songwriter, artist, producer and now is on the same journey many of you are on to own recorded musical assets and build an independent music business.

His son and daughter are both professional entertainers. His son a long-time member of the Disneyland band and his daughter a member of the New York Renaisance Fair. His son also fronts the band LALA Brass who has backed up Alessia Cara on the Peoples Choice Awards and appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show backing internationally known K-Pop superstars BTS filmed in Grand Central Station.

As founder/CEO of MUSLAW William's commitment to excellence and dedication to his clients has earned him a reputation for delivering top-notch legal representation.

William is well-traveled having lived in the south of France for two years and having attended numerous international music conferences, including MIDEM, South by Southwest in Austin, Scotland's Go North, Germany's Popokomm, Syncsummits in Paris, Barbedos, and LA, and more representing the interests of clients.

Whether you are an artist, producer, or music label, we are here to protect your rights and help you build some great international music businesses!
